As the weather gets warmer, the BBQ’s get fired up and mosquito’s fill the summer air. Farmers tan and flip-flops seem to go hand in hand and the smell of sweat and sunscreen pleasantly bring us back to last summers antics.
Days are spent outdoors, and scheduling these outings can be busy and hectic – maybe this is why summer always seems to go so fast. With summer in full swing so are our baseball schedule magnets and team stickers. Orders are coming from left to right and we proudly get to highlight the ones (sometimes teams) that we like best.
Today we have chosen the Washington Nationals Major Baseball Club as our Sticker of the Week. We don’t need to tell you that the Washington Nationals are a major league baseball team, but we should mention that they don’t just play baseball – they are charitable too. The GIANT 17″x23″ vinyl sticker they ordered is for the Harris Teeter National Food drive to benefit the Capital area food bank.
Harris Teeter and the Washington Nationals are a strong advocate for hunger relief and they both help raise hunger awareness with food drives and events. Non perishable donations made at Harris Teeter stores will benefit both Capital Area Food Bank and Loudoun Interfaith Relief; posters placed on the collection bins in each store will announce the beneficiary, as well as the stickers ordered from us, will promote awareness and bring together the community and issues of health and hunger.
